MONGARDA

Col San Martino is located on the first recognised “Wine Road” in Italy, between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. An area of vineyards and farmhouses surrounded by chestnut woods. This is where Mongarda was born; where, harvest after harvest, the wines tell of an experience made up of commitment, work, passion and natural landscapes.

12 hectares of vineyards where the flavours of the grapes vary from vineyard to vineyard. A delicate and respectful vinification process allows these differences to be maintained, letting the land speak for itself. A variety, Glera, that has found the best harmony here and is cultivated together with old varieties such as Bianchetta, Verdsio and Perera.

50 hectares of historic vineyards; a continuity of production since 1800. Soil of alluvial origin and the night breeze of the Valsugana give particular benefit to the vines and olive trees of the “Le Vie Angarano” farm. Here, as Palladio said, wine has always been produced, the land always valued and never abandoned.

The plots dedicated to Vespaiolo involve land with excellent exposure and where the temperature range allows the maintenance of a unique vine. To preserve the typical and unique characteristics of Vespaiolo, the company has reproduced and transplanted the old biotypes of its white grape varieties.

The company takes its name from a small hill that you come across on your way up the Po Valley, separating Passirono from Monticelli, in Franciacorta, in the province of Brescia. In Valenzano, in a place rich in history, the Berardi family began its activity in 1920. Today the company is run by Angelo, Clodomiro and Armando Berardi.

A wine cellar of 1000 square meters completely underground at a depth of 8 meters, with a temperature maintained constant with an electronic thermal control. This is how the different Franciacorta wines are aged in 28 stainless steel tanks, which are then blended in defined percentages.

In the small barrique cellar, part of the base Franciacorta wine is aged for a few months, depending on the grape variety and the soil and climate of each vineyard. In the ageing (or sparkling) area, the bottles rest on the lees for the time necessary to become Franciacorta.

ZAMUNER

It represents a rare excellence in artisanal sparkling wine production using the classic method in the Verona area. An ancient wine-growing vocation at an altitude of 250 metres on Eastern Garda where Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay are cultivated, the most precious bases for the production of great sparkling wines.

This story stems from the Zamuners’ passion for French-style sparkling wines and their gamble to cultivate some Pinot Noir and Meunier vines imported from France in the Verona area. 30 years of commitment to offer wines that were initially difficult to understand and the decision to use the same liqueur d’expedition for all Brut wines with the result of obtaining a unique exaltation of the purity of the fruit, without any manipulation for commercial reasons.
